We are always so grateful for the many people who partner with Linwood House Ministries practically, financially and prayerfully. They are an integral part of our team, and we could not do all that we do without their support.
On Friday night we were very privileged to be the guests of honor at a fundraising dinner for our ministry at the Victoria Chinese Restaurant. It was hosted by Hannah Fellowship, a group of passionate and committed women from West Vancouver who have been learning more about the needs of the community of the downtown Eastside and how they could contribute and make a difference. Close to two hundred people gathered for a traditional Chinese dinner, and to take part in a silent auction, a display of the photography of our friends from the Eastside, a sampling of the Clean the World products, and most significantly, the story the Ministry. Gwen shared her heart and vision that birthed the ministry almost 10 years ago, and our long time friend Roslyn Humberstone Pinkney shared very personally her story of addiction, healing and freedom.
It was a very successful evening that has provided us with resources that will most definitely support our work in the Eastside. But more than that, it was an evening of great encouragement and affirmation. And it was wonderful to see a group of women empowered to do their part to bring hope, healing and justice to their sisters.
We are humbled, thankful and inspired. Thank you Hannah Fellowship!
