Half the Sky Event at Park Royal Shopping Centre May 12

For several years, Gwen's sister, Dorthea Rae, facilitated a book club in West Vancouver. After reading Half the Sky by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn last year, this group of women believed that they could not read this book and learn the stories of opporession without doing something about it. They decided their role was awareness, advocacy, and action. Through a journey of their own and networking with Park Royal, North Shore News, and other sponsors they have organized an event at Park Royal in which Linwood House is proud to be a part of.
